These new housings from High Performance Designs are cast from 356 aged and heat treated aluminum. This alone would make them twice as strong as the die cast originals. They are a minimum of 30% thicker and at least twice as thick in the pinion to output areas. It is highly unlikely that these housings will break, unlike the weak stock housings, in which we have seen plenty of them broken.
